Sometimes it just takes a mom that is at her wits end for something glorious to transpire. It is in those dark moments that ideas are born, that problems are solved, and that life just might get a little bit easier. This is how Smocked Sack was born.
Enter Jenn. She’s a mom of six. As you can imagine, she MAY not remember all the things. I am a mom of one (plus six dogs….they count), and even I don’t remember all the things. My to-do list in my head is so long I can’t even see the curled up paper at the end of it because it goes on for miles and fades off into the distance that is the never-ending mom to-do abyss. So I can’t even imagine how long hers is. But she’s a rockstar. Like LEGIT rockstar who should be greeted with the sound of a champagne bottle opening every time the last of her kiddos hits the hay, and as she does her victory collapse into her super comfy swivel chair.
But she had an off day as we all do. And it was a day that she had scheduled the family photos to be taken. It snuck up on her. She had wanted all her kiddos in semi-matching attire, and she had forgotten to go shopping. Yikes! So what did she do? Of COURSE she pulled it off. She pulled it off better than Brad Pitt pulling off his heist in Oceans’ Eleven. BUT, it wasn’t Jenn’s version of best. She shoots for the moon, and does not ‘yike’ (as her Riley would say) landing among the stars. So her collapse into her super comfy swivel chair was not a victory collapse for her. It was an ‘ugh, HOW did I forget that’ collapse.
And while she was beating herself up, she had an idea. She had a wonderful, amazing idea. Smocks. Seasonal and holiday appropriate. In the right sizes. Delivered right to her door. That she signed up for, had an automatic renewal for, and literally had zilch to think about. WHAAAAA? How could this not exist? So she did some quick Google searching, and lo and behold, this problem had not been solved. que Vanilla Ice
